Hey There,
You’d be surprised how many people I have met over the years that have managed to lose a whopping 200 pounds, but quite frankly I’m not impressed. That’s because they managed to lose the same 20 pounds ten times.
This is typical of most people who go on a diet and/or exercise program in order to lose weight. As a matter of fact studies have proven time and time again that a whopping 93% of people who lose weight on a program don’t keep it off and either gain it all back or end up heavier than when they started. Even contestants on the biggest loser are notorious for gaining back the weight they lost on the show. But you know what the worst part is?
When they gain the weight back they repeat the exact same cycle to lose the weight again that failed them in the first place.
This is absolute insanity. Doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results. They think, “This time will be different.”
Yeah…..right.
The reason these programs NEVER work in the long haul is because they don’t fix or solve the problem they just fixed the symptom. It’s like putting on a temporary band aid.
Here is a step by step formula to solve the core problem and keep the fat off for good:
(WARNING! this is extremely simple and because it is so simple there is a strong chance you will ignore it…….don’t.)
1. Recognize the bad habits you have that made you gain weight in the first place
2. Write them all down on a piece of paper
3. Now draw a vertical line to the right of your list
4. On the other side of the line you just drew write out a healthy alternative habit or action step that combats the adjacent bad habit on the right side of the line.
5. Do those actions or habits in place of the bad habits as often as possible. You don’t have to be perfect but 80% of the time is a good start.
90% of you won’t do this simple exercise. That’s ok. Just stay where you are and watch in bitter resentment as the people who do perform the above task change their lives while you continue to yo-yo for the rest of your life. Have fun with that.
